Friends of BFL Sunday Series: The Magic of Butterflies with Blake Dinius
With names like "satyr," "monarch," and "nymph," butterflies evoke fantastical imagery of small mythical creatures flitting about gardens and forests. Butterflies form an intimate connection to the plant life in the area, while the simple joy of watching butterflies can be a peaceful way to reconnect with nature. Massachusetts is home to over 100 species of butterfly, coming in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and colors, and each with unique needs, adaptations, and challenges.
Join our workshop, presented by Blake Dinius from the Plymouth County Extension Service, as we explore the magic of butterflies. Come learn about:
- The amazing diversity of butterflies and their habitats
- What you need to get started looking for butterflies
- Simple gardening tips to attract butterflies
